Please note due to bad weather tomorrow afternoon and Bed Race congestion, we have changed the time and venue tomorrow for training. We are meeting at Tewit well on the Stray (that’s the band stand thingy just off Leeds road ) at the end of Tewit well road at 8.45 till 9.45 for running on the Stray. It will be wet tomorrow morning but only light rain in the morning but very heavy rain forecast at 1.00 and we have no indoor facilities tomorrow. Please come with waterproofs.
Please note that there is no training tomorrow at Rossett as both Jonny and I are away. Training is on as normal on Thursday.
Please note that this Tuesday training will not be on at Rossett Sports centre from 6.00-7.00 as both Jonny and Jon are away. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Here is a great open meeting open to all club athletes with age groups for all!!
Please follow the link to this meeting if you would like to enter your athletes
We have had to cancel Saturday’s session as the sports centre is closed because of the Tour de Yorkshire this weekend. But we will be holding sessions on Tuesday from 6.00-7.00pm and Thursday 6.00-7.00pm at Rossett this week. Sorry for such short notice about this. we look forward to seeing you all next week
Our first Tuesday night session from 6.00-7.00 at Rossett was an overwhelming success with the young athletes enjoying high jump indoors away from the hail showers, followed by a very competitive relay session in the large sports hall. There is still room for additional club members on this alternative evening and all athletes are encouraged to give it a try!! Hope to see you there next week
The warm weather contributed to some excellent performances with a new fastest time for the Rosset Hill Sprint Challenge. Athletes were also able to try resistance running and javelin throwing for the first time outside.
Some great performances today at Rossett where we trained outside for the full session using the long jump pit for the first time. We also had a new Record for the Rossett Acre Park run by Dexter Coad. Well done to everyone today and please have a look on the leader board to see where you stand in the rankings.
Good luck to everyone running tomorrow!
I am enclosing details of 3 open meetings in early April which all have events for under 11 athletes.
You can enter these in advance or on the day (at an additional cost).
I would encourage all of you to attend at least one of these meetings to sample actual competion and to see how much fun these can be. Of course the weather is always a lottery in April!!

Meeting 2 Wakefield
Meeting 3 Doncaster
This week saw athletes jumping outside at Rossett with some great performances.
